Introduction :
Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ Vice Chancellor, GTU, Prof. (Dr.) Navin Sheth, GTU has started the zonal center for Innovation and Start-up at Rajkot and Surat. GTU Innovation Council’s objective is to nurture creativity and innovation within the University community; it has been designed to act as a catalyst of change for the whole of the society. GTU has its own incubation center with more than 30 Startup incubated and 17 Startups have got Rs. 1.25 Cr as Financial Assistance for Prototype Development under Startup Policy of the Gujarat State.
Innovation :
It is important to start with identifying and articulating a specific social problem that you will address. When you are able to identify unique gap that is when a focused solution to that problem will emerge. This gap identification must be backed by data and research. Once you completely understand the underserved need you are trying to address, you will be able to design the best possible solution for that context. So, in this event you will learn how intention can be transfer to idea because it leads to impact.

Note: All students who are supposed to clear their final year examination and have done some innovative IDP/UDP/Project, they can leverage this program. GTU Innovation Council will facilitate the programs and provide the co-working space for initial research and defining problem statement. Teams will take care of the cost required for Govt. Fees. Experts will help in process. IP rights of the innovations will be belonging to the innovators and university do not take any stake in the IP creation.
