GTU Sent a Circular for Hackathon Contest

To, All Principals/Directors of Engineering/Polytechnic/ MCA/Architecture/MBA

 Sub: Nominate teams from your Institute for participating in “Smart Gujarat for New India” 

Hackathon Government of Gujarat has launched a state level Hackathon involving all departments of Gujarat government and universities in the state. For the above program, you are required to popularize the program in your campus and ensure maximum teams from your college to participate in this state program. Teams can register themselves at http://www.gujarathackathon.cteguj.in/ from 20th Sept 2017. GTU is a partner to this Endeavour and wishes all of its affiliating institutes to take an active part in this. Each team can have maximum 8 students with minimum 2 girls in it. Each team will work on challenges provided by GoG departments and try to develop the digital solution. Participating teams will be invited to Mahatma Mandir on 26th Sept where Hon. CM will launch Smart Gujarat for New India Hackathon program. During the Hackathon launch event on 26th Sept, authorities from different departments of Government of Gujarat will also brief the students about the problem statements shared by them. Many national level experts on Hackathon, Innovation, and Start-ups will address and orient the students. After launching of the program students will work on the challenges and submit final proposal/Proof of concept by 31st Dec 2017. In January 2018 Grand finale of the Gujarat Hackathon will be organized. Best teams will participate in MHRD Hackathon in Feb. 2018.
Awards will be given in below categories
  Award prize to 1st /2nd /3rd team
  Best all girls team prize 
Citation for Institution having maximum participation: 1 st, 2nd, 3rd
 Govt. Of Gujarat Departments can give their own awards also for solutions picked up by them Look forward to active participation of your institute Sd/- Registrar
