GTU Circular for "Smart Gujarat For New India" Hackathon

GTU Sent a Circular for Hackathon Contest The circular text is given below To, All Principals/Directors of Engineering/Polytechnic/ MCA/Architecture/MBA  Sub: Nominate teams from your Institute for participating in “Smart Gujarat for New India”  Hackathon Government of Gujarat has launched a state level Hackathon involving all departments of Gujarat government and universities in the state. For the above program, you are required to popularize the program in your campus and ensure maximum teams from your college to participate in this state program. Why do we Celebrate Engineer's Day

The Engineer's Day is celebrated to appreciate the contributions of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya who was born on September 15 A Bharat Ratna awardee, Visvesvaraya had studied Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Madras From the invention of the wheel in ancient history to the modern day drones, engineering constructs have provided the vital push for the progress of human technology. Taking note of how important engineers are for the growth of nations, countries around the world celebrate the Engineer’s Day. While Russia celebrates it on December 22, Mexico on July 1 and Italy on June 15, India has marked September 15 as the National Engineer’s Day. If your college is taking fees more than rule you can get back.

Source : Navgujarat samay Among the colleges affiliated to GTU The fee regulatory committee detected that some of the colleges are taking more fees than the rules.on this, the committee has decided to take the actions.on the colleges which are taking more fees than the rules.   The Government has established a committee to decide right fees of Degree Engineering, Architecture, Hotel Management and 18 more courses. The Intension of the committee was to stop the over profit in the education system.The committee was established in the year 2007. Today there are 614 Colleges are working under the affiliation of GTU.           The Colleges cant take more fees over the validation of committee. If any colleges get reported taking more fees on extra titles they may be taken action on the colleges.
